B1 Verbs like gustar (encantar, interesar, doler)

Once you understand gustar, a whole family of verbs follows the same backwards pattern: the thing is the subject, and an indirect pronoun (me/te/le/nos/os/les) shows the person.
| Me encanta el chocolate. | I love chocolate. |
| Nos interesa la historia. | We’re interested in history. |
| Le molesta el ruido. | The noise bothers him/her. |
| Me duele la cabeza. | My head hurts. |
| Te falta un euro. | You’re one euro short. |
Use the singular (encanta) for one thing/an infinitive, and the plural (encantan) for plural things.
