About Yohana
Leida Yohana Casadiegos Mandon
Spanish teacher · Psychologist (master’s degree) · Founder of Yohana tu profe
Leida Yohana Casadiegos Mandon, Yohana for short, is a Colombian Spanish teacher and psychologist. She combines a master’s degree in psychology with more than ten years of teaching experience, and built Yohana tu profe: an online learning platform where you learn Spanish from A1 to C1 with a real teacher at your side.
Education and background
- Master’s degree in psychology. Yohana studied psychology at university and completed her master’s. That background shapes how she teaches: she looks at how a person learns, where the block is and how to keep motivation up.
- Certified teacher. Teaching since 2011, with a teaching certificate verified by Preply (Professional Tutor status).
- Native speaker. Born and raised in Colombia: clear, neutral Latin American Spanish.
Experience as a Spanish teacher
- More than 6,000 online Spanish lessons to adults and children from Europe and beyond.
- Rated 5.0 out of 5 from 48 reviews, Super Tutor and in the top 5% of Spanish tutors on Preply.
- Specialisations: conversation, Spanish for beginners, intensive Spanish, business Spanish, Spanish for children and Latin American Spanish.
Yohana tu profe
In 2026 Yohana founded Yohana tu profe: a free online learning platform with a placement test, vocabulary with article and pronunciation, a verb trainer, grammar explained in Dutch, English, French and German, daily practice and a live classroom for 1-on-1 lessons. She follows every student’s progress and adapts her lessons to it.
Her approach
For Yohana, learning a language is not about memorising lists. From psychology she knows you remember what you use, what moves you and what brings success. So she works with short daily practice, lots of speaking from lesson one, the article always together with the noun, and attention to the mistakes you personally make.
