B1 Object pronouns (lo, la, le, les)

advertisement

Object pronouns replace a noun so you don’t repeat it. Spanish has direct (lo, la, los, las = it/them) and indirect (le, les = to him/her/them).

¿Ves el coche? Sí, lo veo.Do you see the car? Yes, I see it.
Le doy el libro (a ella).I give the book to her.
Te lo doy.I give it to you.

They go before a conjugated verb, or attach to the end of an infinitive/gerund/command: voy a dárselo, dámelo.
