A1 Adjective agreement (gender and number)

Spanish adjectives agree with the noun in gender (masculine/feminine) and number (singular/plural).
| el coche rojo | the red car (m. sing.) |
| la casa roja | the red house (f. sing.) |
| los coches rojos | the red cars (m. pl.) |
| las casas rojas | the red houses (f. pl.) |
Adjectives ending in -e or a consonant usually don’t change for gender: un libro grande, una casa grande. Most adjectives go after the noun.
